The bar chart illustrates about global sales of games software, CD’s and DVD or video also how sales has change between the years from 2000 to 2003 in billions dollars.

According to the chart there were upward trends in 3 years. The games software increased slightly in 2000 to 2002 and the sales is steadly until 2003. As we can see the DVD/video seen go up significantly from about 18$ in 2000 to 31$ in 2003. However ,while the number of sales from games software and DVD/video grown up gradually, the selling of CD’s is look decreased slowly over the year and stable until the next year in 2003.

In overall result, the highest sale is still a CD from the graph  and it  prove that many people prefer a CD rather than a game software that at the very bottom of the graph. the DVD sales is speciffically go up. although the rate of sales are narrow between CD and DVD  and if these trends continue, we can expect DVD sales to overtake CD’ sales in 2004 or soon after.

The Story of Toba Lake

Once upon a time, there was a man who was living in north Sumatra. He lived in a simple hut in a farming field. The did some gardening and fishing for his daily life.

One day, while the man was do fishing, he caught a big golden fish in his trap. It was the biggest catch which he ever had in his life. He was really happy, after return to his house he put the fish into a bucket and go to sleep. The next morning  He was shocked because there was many of gold coins in the bucket, then He goes to his kitchen and Surprisingly, this fish turned into a beautiful princess. He felt in love with her and proposed her to be his wife. She said; “Yes, but you have to promise not to tell anyone about the secret that I was once a fish, otherwise there will be a huge disaster”. The man made the deal and they got married, lived happily and had a son.

Few years later, his son would help bringing lunch to her father out in the fields. One day, his son was so hungry and he ate his father’s lunch. Unfortunately, he found out and got furious, and shouted; “You damned son of a fish”. The daughter ran home and asked her mother. The mother started crying, felt sad that her husband had broke his promise.

Then she told her son to run up the hills because a huge disaster was about to come. When her son left, she prayed. Soon there was a big earthquake followed by non-stop pouring rain. The whole area got flooded and became Toba Lake. She turned into a fish again and the man became the island of Samosir.
